Executive Order 202.90, which expanded the eligible pool of individuals who could administer COVID-19 vaccinations at a point of dispensing or “POD site”, expired on June 24, 2021. As such, New York State is no longer providing training modules for these individuals.
Individuals who are interested in administering COVID-19 vaccines should refer to the federal Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act Declaration and its amendments. Here is information on the PREP Act, including who is covered and training and supervision requirements.
Any questions on how the PREP Act impacts New York State professionals should be directed to the facility’s counsel or to the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
